A Ribu is a mountain anywhere on Earth with a relative height of at least 1000 metres. No-one is ever going to climb all of them, but anyone who has climbed at least 100 is eligible for the Ribus Register.
The current total of Ribus is now 7151. The current total of Sub-Ribus is now 225.

Major updates to the Ribus in 2025
40001 Pico Simón Bolívar (5720m and P5529) replaces Pico Cristóbal Colón (5713m) as the highest mountain in Colombia and the fifth most prominent peak on Earth. This is based on a survey by Eric Gilbertson in December 2024, described in this trip report:
32119 Hogback Mountain (3231m and P1147) replaces Sunset Peak (3229m) after a survey by Richard Hensley detailed in this report.
31815 Animas Mountains Peak in New Mexico, USA, is relegated to a Sub-Ribu (2606m and P991) though this is optimistic as it may drop further when more data becomes available for the col which is in Mexico.
50063 Kambsmyrarhnjúkur (1214m) in Iceland was previously a Sub-Ribu but has been found to be higher than its neighbour Grjótskálarhnjúkur (1213m) and is now P1086. Grjótskálarhnjúkur remains a Ribu, but only P1001.
81583 Mount Alexander (1969m) in New Zealand was also previously listed as a Sub-Ribu but has been promoted with P1012
50130 Mælefjell in Norway has been promoted to a Sub-Ribu (1414m and P990).
31839 Dos Cabezas Peaks (2548m) in Arizona, USA, was previously listed as a P990 Sub-Ribu but has now been relegated with P988.
